I really needed to get out today so took off just before lunchtime cross country following as many tractor tyre or deer/sheep/cow tracks in the snow as I could. They were the only things you could run in really other than some sheltered patches running through the forest and some shallow patches on the wind scoured tops of fields - the rest of the area is under 2 - 3ft of snow. Blizzard all the way for the 10.5km/6.5miles (200ft absolute ascent/1461ft ascent if you count all the ups and downs) and bitterly cold. Good fun in parts. Still snowing.
